The five star Bath Spa Hotel is set in seven acres of landscaped gardens and is the perfect place from which to explore Bath. The Hotel is close to the Roman Baths, Pump Room and the shops and yet it is far enough from the bustle of the city to be a perfect retreat.
The original house was built in 1835 by General Augustus Andrews, in Greek revival style and was completed in 1836. In its time the house has been used for varied purposes: a boys school, a home for nurses, between 1909 and 1912 the building opened its doors as The Spa Hotel. The Hotel was renovated and restored and opened as The Bath Spa Hotel in January 1990 by the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
The Bath Spa Hotel provides some of Bath's most elegant accommodation, together with six conference rooms including the latest video conferencing technology. Vital Health Fitness and Beauty Spa comprises of indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, two gymnasiums, three beauty rooms and a hair salon.
