In the mid 19th century, Bradford, about 200 miles northwest of London, and ten miles west of Leeds, used to be the 'wool capital of the world' with numerous mills scattered around town. These days, wool spinning has been replaced with media and Bradford is the 'UK capital of film and television'.
The main tourist attraction in Bradford is the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, which is one of England's most visited museums outside London. On-site are various exhibitions including a 'Kodak Gallery' and an IMAX and 3-D theater.
Other points of interest in and around Bradford include the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford University, Granary Wharf, Leeds Art Gallery and Royal Armouries, Leeds University and Eureka Science Museum.
All hotels in Bradford are within 10 miles of the Leeds Bradford Airport, Bradford town centre and Leeds town centre.
