Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is located 150 miles northwest of London. It is a relatively small seaside town with a lot of character and a host of things to do and see.
The small and compact town center has all major tourist attractions within walking distance most prominent of which is Cardiff Castle. It also has a pedestrianised area as well as Edwardian and Victorian arcades with shops, cafes and pubs.
Other notable points of interest in the city centre area include Bute Park, Millennium Stadium, National Museum and Gallery and the campus of the University of Wales Cardiff. Another area of interest is the revitalized waterfront development of Cardiff Bay where the new National Assembly of Wales is located.
Most hotels in Cardiff are located in the city centre area within walking distance of the Cardiff Castle. Motel accommodations can also be found along the M4 motorway that runs north of town.
