Leeds, about 200 miles northwest of London, 40 miles northeast of Manchester and ten miles east of Bradford, is the third largest city in the UK after London and Birmingham.
While most people visiting the UK would not immediately put Leeds on the list of places they must visit, the city is considered one of the most vibrant cities of England, with an active nightlife and cultural scene.
The revitalized Victorian town centre of Leeds is the focal point of activity. The mostly pedestrianized area is home to the Victorian arcades with over a thousand upscale shops, restaurants and Bars. More leisure and shopping can be found at Kirkgate Market, the largest indoor market in England, the Corn Exchange revitalized market and the Granary wharf.
Other notable points of interest in Leeds include Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds Royal Armouries, Leeds University, Headingley Stadium and Leeds United Grounds.
Hotels in Leeds are mostly located within the city centre area and are within walking distance of major area attractions.
